The mail slot is where letters to the guide arrive. Readers who spotted a detail worth a second look, a term the guide used loosely, or an artifact that deserves its own reading can reach the slot here.
What travels well through the slot
Corrections travel best. A reading that got a local custom wrong, a rider word used in a way a particular market never used it, a date that does not match the public record: those letters get answered first and fixed fastest.
Suggestions travel well too. The guide keeps a list of artifacts not yet read: the broker's open on a Tuesday, the Just Listed postcard, the lockbox combination passed by text, the directionals that sprout at the corner on Sunday morning. A letter that nominates one, with a sentence on why it deserves a reading, usually lands.
What does not
The slot does not carry listing inquiries, property valuations or requests for representation. The guide reads signs; it does not plant them. A reader looking for an agent will find better help at the actual office window in their own town.
